CORALIE BORDER is a college graduate, writer and creative. She received B.A.s in Sociology and English (creative writing) at UC Davis, where she also worked as an academic advisor and journalist. She is also passionate about mental health, queer empowerment, and empathy, and hopes to foster spaces where young women and queer people are free to express themselves and find their places in the world.

Coralie has been a part of the Love Your Nature community since she joined a group in her youth. She has supported Love Your Nature over the years, mostly mentoring teens at Summer Retreat. She is excited to step into greater leadership supporting school year long groups!

Academic Advisor, UC Davis
  • UC Davis peer advisors assist students through one-on-one academic advising, helping students answer questions, respond to emotional and academic stress, and plan for the future.

Journalist, UC Davis
  • Working with the California Aggie (arts desk), Coralie gained journalistic experience writing for her college newspaper’s arts and culture desk, including covering local art events and reviewing literature, film and other forms of media

Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center
  • Led and curated an after school program for elementary students from underserved and underfunded districts

ReCreate Ireland
  • Worked in communications and human resources for a nonprofit dedicated to bringing affordable and sustainable art materials and services to local communities

Fun Facts

  • Some of her passions include visual art, poetry, speculative fiction, song-writing, and all the various ways we indulge in artistic processes to make sense of our experiences. 
  • Outside of Love Your Nature, she works part time at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
  • She loves crocheting and going on rainy walks with her dog, Piggy.
  • Coralie's artwork is incredible, and featured across the Love Your Nature website.
