Ceremony helps us to bring attention and intention to our experience. We can create ceremonies to help us understand who we've been, who we are, and who we are becoming. Rite-of-passage experiences, especially in the incredible transition from girl to woman, can transform us - teens and caregivers - in ways we could not have imagined. We believe offering this missing piece of "village" that is so essential to girls and families feeling seen, cared for, and honored, is key to creating thriving coming-of-age experiences.
Love Your Nature ceremonies help connect girls to 3 essential themes:

Ceremonies are unique to each family or group in order to be relevant, especially to the teens. All welcome a spirit of creativity, mystery, honest sharing, and are held by an experienced guide. Experiences like this can stand alone, or help imbue another level of creativity and meaning when connected to other types of more traditional celebrations.

We offer these ceremonies to help honor whatever rite of passage experience you would like to mark in your family life, or your child's life. All traditional "rites of passage" have a beginning, middle and end. We tend to describe them as:
"Separation" - from home, from comfort, from life as usual
"Transformation" - crossing a threshold or facing challenge, growing to meet it and be changed by it
"Return" - time of reintegration at home or with those we love, being seen and witnessed in our evolution

"I'm so grateful for the beautiful way you both (Quetzal and Emily) showed up this evening. What a gift to my daughter and me! She and I shared a lot on the way home tonight, and it's clear she sees you as a really important part of her last year. I am grateful for the support you've given her and the ways you've modeled for her ways of being. Thank you for the way you walk in the world!" - Mama, honoring her daughter's 18th birthday and return from wilderness therapy
