This year we...
- Mentored 70 girls* and young women 6th grade through college
- Gave $40,000 in tuition assistance (about 1/3 of our income)
- Continued our commitment to serve historically marginalized families, in particular LGBTQ+ and BIPOC families
- Our programs now include youth across the East Bay, Marin, Sonoma, Davis and the Peninsula (and online across the U.S.)
LOVE YOUR NATURE is devoted to girls and women awakening to their inherent wisdom, power and purpose. Our nature-based programs support a diverse population of girls, young women and families around the Bay Area. Now, more than ever, rates of stress, depression and anxiety continue to rise among our young people. Love Your Nature is the lantern in the darkness for so many young people.
We are not a non-profit. We are a teeny tiny love powered LLC. We are our families and our community. We receive no grants or funding beyond tuition and individual contributions. Partner with us by adding your energy and contributions towards our vision. Your support makes a difference!
May we all continue to show up for young people and their future,
Emily, Quetzal & The Love Your Nature Team
"Thank you for the space you create ... the vulnerability, the barriers that are broken down, the love, the laughter, and the fulfillment and pride that is felt." - Teen "I am blown away by the presence and care of this amazing team of women. Thank you for all you do for me, my daughter, and the world! - Parent |
"Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach... One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up flares, builds signal fires, causes proper matters to catch fire. To display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these - to be fierce and to show mercy toward others, both, are acts of immense bravery and greatest necessity. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it." - Clarissa Pinkola Estes
