Location:
Our location (until further notice) will be our Orinda Retreat site, the home of a mama whose daughter graduated from our program.
Location Details: 68 Loma Vista Dr, Orinda 94563 You'll see "66" on the neighbor property. "68" is down a long driveway. Pull over on road to drop off or pull into driveway. Please leave space for as many cars as possible. Thank you for being cautious upon exit. Please be on time so we can start and end on time. Hello's are welcome at drop off or pick up :) Parents must leave the premises during group time (sometimes we use the driveway). For pick up, please wait until the teens come out, or we give a signal that parents can come in, don't just walk into our circle (we might be having a moment!) Thank you! |
What to Bring
- Wear comfy clothes and bring warm layers. We will be meeting completely outdoors so dress for the possibility of heat, cold, bugs... If it's hot, Orinda tends to be hotter. Check the weather. Force your teen to bring the extra blanket/layers etc or offer again in front of us if they are refusing :)
- Blanket (+pillow if you like) for laying onto ground to make a comfy nest.
- Mask.
- Food to share. We will always take a shared snack break, however your teen might need their own breakfast or lunch packed just for them. Thanks for helping them navigate food needs. Examples of shared snack: popcorn, apples, grapes, chips, cookies, tangerines, case of LeCroix, etc). Bring anything you'll need to serve. Anyone who is not comfortable with this is welcome to do food their own way, zero judgment. Please remind us of food allergies.
- Journal & pen.
- We will have access to a bathroom, however our host has asked you use the bathroom right before you leave home too.
Health & Safety Guidelines
In order to host the most awesome, intimate, connected group possible, we are creating guidelines for what we feel is appropriate to keep our group fun and safe. We will update these requests as we feel is appropriate.
All participants should bring a mask. Our group will be held outside without masks (unless you have checked in with us about a specific reason to wear one outside), but masks are required to use the indoor bathroom. Please wash hands regularly and bring hand sanitizer.
Anyone who has been sick, has been in contact with someone who is either sick or who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks before our meeting should check in and possibly need to stay home. In all situations, please let us know.
Switching to online meetings: If Shelter In Place is announced, air quality is sustained above 100AQI, or other unforeseen "disasters" mean we cannot safely meet, we will be in communication with best alternatives.
