Location:

Our ongoing location will be our Orinda Retreat site (note new address!). You will be notified by 7:30am the day of your meeting, if there is a location change (either to the Rockridge Community Space - or - Zoom). Of course we will announce any changes as soon as we are able.

(last year's 1st group opening circle)
Details for Orinda Location:

68 Loma Vista Dr, Orinda 94563
The house is deep into the driveway so you'll see "66" on the neighbor property. Look for our handmade sign marking "68".
Pull over on road to drop off -or- pull into driveway.
Please be mindful to leave space for as many cars as possible.
Thank you for being cautious upon exit.

Please be on time so we can start and end on time.
Say hello at drop off or pick up :)
Parents must leave the premises during the group.
For pick up, please wait until the girls come out, or we give a signal that parents can come in, don't just walk into our circle (we might be having a moment!) Thank you!
3 great trails in the area, for parents looking for something to do:
  • Sibley Park has a back entrance next to the tunnel; it's only a 4 minute drive from the house. MAP LINK
  • Lafayette Resevoir, either the flat, paved 3 mile ring around the reservoir (very popular but often more people) or the strenuous, hilly 5 mile ridge trail. MAP LINK
  • The Briones Overlook area of the Reservoir; go left and get a spacious, open, sunny walk on the dam and up to the top of the hills; to the right, shaded woods that ring the lake. MAP LINK

What to Bring

  • Wear comfy clothes and bring warm layers. We will be meeting completely outdoors so dress for the possibility of heat, cold, bugs... throw extra leggings/sweater in your bag. Orinda tends to be much warmer/less fog. Check the weather before flying out the door.
  • Bring a blanket (+pillow if you like) for laying onto ground to make a comfy nest.
  • Bring a mask.
  • Snack for yourself. Please bring a non-touchy snack to share. Examples: popcorn, apples, chips, tangerines, etc). Bring anything you'll need to safely share snack (bowl with scoop, plate with tongs, etc). We will have paper cups/small plates and will help distribute snacks to minimize risk. We will obviously take masks off for snack. Anyone who is not comfortable with this is welcome to keep their mask on and/or not share in the snack, zero judgment.
  • Please also bring lunch or extra snacks if your meeting is until 1pm.
  • Hand sanitizer.
  • Journal & pen.
  • We will have access to a bathroom, however our host has asked you use the bathroom right before you leave home too.

Health & Safety Guidelines

In order to host the most awesome, intimate, connected group possible, we are creating guidelines for what we feel is appropriate to keep our group fun and safe. We will update these requests as we feel is appropriate.

Masks/Distance: All participants should bring a clean face covering that fits securely. The whole group will be held outside. We will keep some distance. Participants will wear their masks most of the time. Masks are required to use the indoor bathroom.

Hand-washing: We will regularly use hand sanitizer (especially before snacks) and whenever possible we will use soap and water. We also ask that all participants bring their own hand sanitizer.

Staying home if sick: Anyone who has been sick, has been in contact with someone who is either sick or who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks before our meeting should stay home. Please let us know. We may or may not be able to accommodate a Zoom drop in depending on our location and agenda.

Switching to online meetings: If Shelter In Place is announced, air quality is sustained above 75AQI, or other unforeseen "disasters" mean we cannot safely meet outdoors, we will either meet at the Rockridge Community Space - or - meet over Zoom. Any changes will be announced by 7:30am the day of your group meeting, if not sooner. Of course we will announce changes as soon as we know.

Thank you!
