Program Details

Our Mother Daughter groups are an opportunity to spend quality time together, receive support, grow your connection to each other, and feel part of a community of tween/teen girls and women. We offer practical wisdom to help girls and mamas bond with each other and peer groups that value authenticity, joy and togetherness.

Our Real Talk curriculum provides valuable information to help girls navigate the complexity of being tweens and teens in these times, as well as decision making tools and space to practice and learn. We help mamas (re)connect with themselves and each other through projects and sharing that parallel the girls process. We will spend time in a big circle, small group and paired activities. Formats include all together, mom:daughter, mom:mom, girl:girl. Every meeting will include some sort of creative project. Our flow will also include short breaks and potluck food.

The mother-daughter relationship is one of the most important and complex relationships in our lives. It’s a life long gift. And like most things that shape and grow us, the relationship includes many gems as well as challenges. This group is designed to hold that journey, with a wider focus on enjoying the time we have together. More about our general teen curriculum can be found here.

All groups are facilitated by both Emily & Quetzal. We offer an experience aimed at creating a space for everyone to feel welcome, safe, and connected. Our program is designed to be a school-year long commitment, so ideally the same families will join every session, but of course we are flexible. Our hope is families will participate fully, attending all or as many gatherings as possible.

Calendar

YOUNGER CIRCLE
Girls 11-13 years old*
5 Gatherings on Sundays 1:30-4:30pm @ private home in San Mateo
FALL • October 6th + November 3rd
SPRING • January 12th, February 9th + March 8th

* Age & grade in each group may vary. Our goal is best fit.

Cost

Peninsula Mother Daughter Group meets for 5 gatherings between September 2019 through June 2020.
Cost $875 for the entire 2019-2020 session.
Pay in full or via monthly payments ($175/gathering)
Charges for all girls groups begin September 1st, 2019.

• PayPal monthly billing ($175 per gathering billed on 1st of that month)

* We are committed to making this important opportunity available to all families. We offer various levels of scholarship based on need. Please indicate in your application if you need some sort of financial assistance, and we will do our best to set up a payment plan that works for your family.
